ACER Aspire Ethos 5943G Laptop Review, Pics & Specs

The ACER Aspire Ethos 5943G is a spectacular laptop from Acer and is one of a kind with its beautiful design and high-end features. Have a glance at this marvelous piece of technology and you know this is the equivalent of an Aston Martin or a Porsche of the laptop world.

What powers the system to pace thorough the software is the mighty Dual-core Intel® Core™ i5-460M (2.53 GHz) processor with a 3MB L2 Cache, 4GBs of RAM and a generous 500GB Hard Disk.

The main highlight of this laptop off course is the spectacular design with plenty of smooth silver paneling and sliver lining along with a smooth carbon fiber feel to it. If you truly appreciate design technology then this is something which will make you fall in love with it.

Through there are a few disappointments in this laptop, such as the battery with 3.4 hours battery life and and excessive weight of 3.3Kgs. We wonder, why Acer? why you cant you offer a decent battery. This is astonishing how such critical considerations can be ignored while attempting to present an ultra modern laptop and failing badly on an essential component.

Design

We have previously been complaining about Acer’s lack of attention to design, as every new model of their laptop has been based around the same chassis, with subtle cosmetic changes on the outside. This however seems like something they have built from scratch and making sure it looks stunning from every angle. Design being the main selling point of this laptop, we think Acer has done justice to the ACER Aspire Ethos 5943G and its worth every penny despite its hefty price above the £900 mark.

Processor and operating system

The Dual-core Intel® Core™ i5-460M (2.53 GHz) processor is a very capable processor which can produce enough grunt to run your everyday applications effortlessly. You an also play 3D games and run professional graphic applications without having to worry about performance issues as the 3MB L2 Smart Cache provides additional stability to the overall performance of this laptop.

Multimedia & Connectivity features

The noteworthy component is the inclusion of Dolby®7-optimized surround sound system with two built-in stereo speakers and one subwoofer supporting low-frequency effects.
